Milk Stall closed at Rourkela Station for detection of irregularities

During a joint inspection conducted by ACM/CKP, OC/ROU, CCI/ROU, Sr.CAIR/CKP & CAIR/ROU at Rourkela Railway Station on Platform No. 4/5 on date 02.05.2024 irregularities were detected in the catering stall operated by CR Catering Co.(Milk Stall). Unauthorized items were being sold, and upon discovery, all such items worth Rs 2580/- were seized and handed over to RPF ROU.
A note, signed by the nodal officer, was put on the stall for closing the stall pending enquiry.
Such surprise checks make clear that no compromises will be made in respect of health of passengers and reputation of Railways. This type of surprise checking need to done on regular basis as per some passengers opinion present on the occasion.
