Rs 14 crore budget for development of Panposa Railway Station: It is likely to become an alternative to Rourkela Railway Station in the future
The station premises will be attractive with new passenger facilities: Rejuvenation of the historic station
More than 100 years after the establishment of Panposa Railway Station, Indian Railways has taken steps towards various developments of this station. Under the Amrit Station Scheme of the Central Government, various construction works are underway at an expense of Rs 14.22 crore for the development of Panposa Railway Station under various railway station development programmes. In addition to the renovation of this railway station, various passenger facilities are being constructed here. Most of the construction work is likely to be completed by the end of this year. After the redevelopment of this railway station, it is likely to become an alternative to Rourkela Station. Along with this, the railway passengers of Chhend, Panposa, Vedavyas and surrounding areas dependent on this station will be able to get many facilities.
