Children’s Drama Workshop inaugurated in collaboration with National School of Drama and Rourkela Steel Plant

A Children’s Drama Workshop in joint partnership of National School of Drama -NSD and Rourkela Steel Plant -RSP was inaugurated on May 12 at Ispat English Medium School Auditorium, Sector 20. Tarun Mishra, Executive Director, Human Resources Department, RSP, was the Chief Guest. On this occasion, renowned theatre personality Professor Dr. Samar Mudali, President of the City Services and CSR Department, Rajiv Pani, President of the Socio-Cultural Organization, Archana Satpathi, GM of the RSP Public Relations Department and Head of Communications, Jagannath Seth, NSD alumni and workshop director, and Bhaskar Mohapatra, NSD local coordinator, were prominently present. Shri Mishra appreciated the efforts to organize a high-quality theatre workshop for children and adolescents. Shri Kanekar urged the theatre enthusiasts to make good use of such opportunities. Shri Kanekar expressed his hope that such workshops will play an important role in the overall personality development of the students. Professor Mudali appreciated RSP’s long-standing association with theatre culture and its continuous efforts to promote it. He said that such workshops organized for children play a vital role in harnessing the inherent skills within them, while also promoting creative thinking, building self-confidence, and instilling fundamental values in life such as discipline, cooperation, and social empathy.
