Indo English School celebrated the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda

The event began with a floral tribute to the founder’s statue, followed by the garlanding of Swami Vivekananda’s portrait. The ceremonial lamp was lit by the dignitaries, marking the commencement of the celebration. On this occasion, The Principal of the school, Ms. Basanti Mohanty addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of celebrating Swami Vivekananda’s Jayanti and his service to humanity.

The school’s Founder Principal,Mrs. Manju Mukherjee also addressed the gathering, emphasizing Swami Vivekananda’s teachings on self-realization and universal brotherhood. She inspired the students to emulate his values and work towards creating a better world. The Academic Head, Dr. K. Viswanath, also spoke on the occasion, highlighting the significance of Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy in modern times and his bond with his guru Swami Ramakrishna. He encouraged the students to cultivate critical thinking, compassion, and empathy, and to strive for excellence in all their endeavors. A cultural program was organised which included speeches and dance by students and also songs by the teachers. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a pledge by the students to follow Swami Vivekananda’s principles and make a positive impact in their communities.
