Trains services afftected due to public agitation at Kalunga station

Trains services Under South Eastern railway affected fully between Rourkela and Jharsuguda on Mumbai-Howrah train route on Sunday i.e. on 30th April due to public agitation at Kalunga Railway Station adjacent to Rourkela city. As per report several Local residents stages protest near Kalunga Railway station on train rout on demand of some train’s stoppage at Kalunga. Earlier they have already demanded stoppages of some train which are usually stop before Covid-19 situation.

Accordingly as per last report several trains are cancelled and some trains are running on diverted route as per a press release of South Eastern Railway Head Quarter, Kolkata. The situation may worst if the agitation not resolved by evening of Sunday as per a report. Because number trains are running in these route from Howrah to Mumbai and Mumbai to Howrah during night time. Due to sudden disturbances in train movements hundreds of train passengers are deprived of boarding their train towards different destinations.

Furthers long rout trains like Ahmedabad- Howrah and few others are diverted by Jharsuguda-Sambalpur and Cuttack which affect the passengers who were likely to went between Jharsuguda-Rourkela – TATA etc rout stations. As per the information from officials at Rourkela Station under Chakradharpur Division they have no idea as and when the agitation will end.
